Extinct Humor - Part 1
It's been a while that I am trying to find humour on social media. But after my repeated attempts I have been let down so many times by our very own YouTubers, Bloggers and Facebook pages.
No doubt, the content is being produced on daily basis but it seems like people now just care about money and ads. Just take the example of Facebook which is now all about memes and almost not-so-funny stuff. I have been using Facebook for almost 8 years and in all those years I have never ditched my favourite pass time "Scrolling my newsfeed"
As a regular Facebook user, I have to say that it has become so boring that I hardly open it.
The same old memes from 2016 are still been used by most of the pages.
The most annoying part is little to no news of my friends and family's posts. Every time I open my newsfeed I get posts from maximum 4-5 pages. And the matter becomes worse when all those pages share the same content. Whether it's about "MUJHEY KYUN NIKALA" or that kid with the world's most annoying face expressions featuring "RAMZAN AYA ROZEY RAKHO JI", everything has become so old and boring.
Most of you would remember many funny memes from last year like "UNCLE MAJBOOR", "AUNTY GORMINT" and the legendary "KAMLESH". But it seems like 2018 hasn't produced much in the field of humour.
Ramzan has been my favourite time of year as it’s the time of blessings and forgiveness. But over the year we can observe the level of on-point memes produced in this month. Don't find it offensive but I was actually hoping for some good memes this year too. But my newsfeed has disappointed me so much that I have lost all hopes.
Every month they try to introduce a viral meme or trend which unfortunately has not been working so well this year. I can't remember the single trend of 2018 so far. In my opinion, the trend of meme should be buried alongside the VINES and COMICS. We definitely need something new to keep Facebook interesting otherwise.................THE BRAINLESS BRIGADE WILL TAKE OVER INTERNET as people will fall into the trap of Musical.ly, where everyone foolishly thinks that they are SRK and Ashwariya. It's time for us to save planet internet from the MUSICAL.LY APOCALYPSE. Wear your cape and please try to be funnier.
Ending part 1 with a reason to be sad about our level of humor…..these days.
An unfunny humourless meme!
